Traditional Tutsi milk containers (icyansi) are surmounted by protective basketry lids (imiteri or umutemeri). This example features a visually striking native aluminum repair and smaller iron repairs.

The milk container measures 14.25” h x 6” d (36.2 x 15.24 cm); the lid measures 7” h x 5.25” d (17.78 x 13.34 cm).
