A rather unusual Grebo mask of transformation. During ceremonies it likely would have been held by its crocodilian snout. Iron was employed for the ears, with animal teeth representing teeth. Similar to other masks from this region, there are traces of red pigment around the eyes and on the horns.

The Grebo, a people of the larger Kru complex, reside in easternmost Liberia, with a smaller population resident in Côte d’Ivoire.
